Each year over 1,400 youth and youth leaders come together to celebrate what it means to be connected. Through inspirational words and music led by nationally-known speakers and musicians, young people encounter the Lord in new and deeper ways. Worship describes those times we gather deliberately seeking to encounter God in Christ. God uses worship to transform lives, heal wounded souls, renew hope, shape decisions, provoke change, inspire compassion, and bind people to one another. The word passionate expresses an intense desire, an ardent spirit, strong feelings, and the sense of heightened importance. Veritas is where we practice Passionate Worship.
I AM THEY
made its national debut in January 2015 with their self-titled album on Essential Records. The band’s five-piece, pop-acoustic-worship sound is anchored by three-part vocal harmonies. The group, made up of Abbie Parker (vocals/harmonium), Jon McConnell (vocals/guitar/keys), Matt Hein (vocals/guitar/mandolin), Justin Shinn (keys/banjo) and Sara Palmer (drums) represent I AM THEY – inspired by John 17. “In that chapter,” shares Sara Palmer, “Jesus is praying for his disciples and refers to them as ‘they.’ He’s praying and saying things like, ‘Sanctify them. Make them holy. They are not of the world because I am not of the world.’ He’s really interceding for his disciples. We are disciples of Christ and being disciples is just as important today as it was back then. We’re still here for the same purpose on the same mission with the same calling, bringing people to the Lord and spreading the news of the Gospel to people. We really wanted to incorporate that into our mission as a band, saying that anybody who is a believer in Christ is a ‘They.’ They are a disciple as well so we can stand together in that and really bring people into the ‘I AM THEY’ family because we are all family in Christ.”
Jeniffer proudly speaks to audiences across the country about her passion for living life in fullest of Christ. Lifestyle evangelism is not only her most passionate speaking topic, but also her manner of living. It is a topic that encompasses everything the body of Christ desires to impart to young people today—to live in such a way that those around you will be eternally impacted for the kingdom of God.
Christian illusionist, Zak Mirzadeh has spent the last four years honing his skills for one specific purpose, to capture the attention of his generation in order to share the Good News of Jesus with them. Zak’s new show, “Nothing Up My Sleeve,” captivates the audience while illuminating the grace of God. His story of conversion from a Muslim to a follower of Jesus is not only timely but also incredibly redemptive.
Zak Mirzadeh grew up as a Muslim, faithful to his religion, and praying five times every day. Due to an incredible set of circumstances, Zak grew up in a fatherless household. At the age of seventeen, Zak was confronted with a reality that was very different from his upbringing. He was brought face to face with the TRUTH of who JESUS is.
